Leaders should follow the key principles of leadership listed in the below. Additionally, leaders should be given some training before they are put in positions of responsibility. They should also seek to continuously develop their leadership style and abilities to remain current and be able to accept new challenges. The listed principles describe leadership in broad and general terms, but in specific situations certain leadership qualities and skills will be more critical than others. While possessing a set of qualities and abilities is essential in Christian leadership, Leaders will not be effective unless they use them. A leader must grow continuously to deal with the changes that take place.

Above all the leader must always remember that true growth comes through exercising leadership with humility, as servants of the righteous God, not only understanding these principles of leadership but also trusting in the Holy Spirit to empower him to effectively implement them in his life for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
